Founder Friday 01: Wonder in the Highlands
Wanted to send a little ‘founder Friday’ note your way!
Firstly — Happy Valentine’s Day! 😍 I hope it’s a day filled with LOVE of all kinds.
Secondly — wanted to share a story with you. One of wonder, sight, and delight:
Back in March of 2021—one year into a world that felt like it had turned upside down—I conjured up a little something called The 7 Days of Wonderment: A Passport to Our Inner Child. COVID had barreled in like a freight train in the night, and suddenly, the things we once took for granted—simple joys, spontaneous adventures, even the act of dreaming—felt like distant memories. Somewhere in the haze of it all, we forgot the most sacred ritual of being human: play.

So, I did what any self-respecting wonder-seeker would do. I dusted off my imagination, grabbed my metaphorical passport, and invited others to join me in making magic out of the mundane.
And now, as winter 2025 stretches its limbs for one last time before spring bursts forth in all her glory, I’m pulling these treasures out of the vault—because it’s time, once again, to remember.
One of my favorite stops along this whimsical journey? Scotland. Jamie Frasier anyone? Or rather, a virtual escape to the Scottish Highlands, led by the enchanting Beccy and her utterly dapper sheep, Mr. Hamish. Yes, a sheep. And not just any sheep—a philosopher in wool, a four-legged sage who reminded me that every single day holds the potential for something extraordinary, if only we choose to see it.
I remember setting my alarm, rising with the sun, and for just a moment—through my screen, through their stories, through the rolling landscapes that stretched beyond them—I was there. The Highlands, wild and untamed. Castles whispering their ancient secrets. The echoes of literary greats swirling in the crisp air.

And then there was this—
"Colours change: in the morning light, red shines out bright and clear and the blues merge into their surroundings, melting into the greens; but by the evening the reds lose their piquancy, embracing a quieter tone and shifting toward the blues in the rainbow. Yellow flowers remain bright, and white ones become luminous, shining like ghostly figures against a darkening green background."
—Rosemary Verey, The Scented Garden
A reminder that time moves, seasons shift, and yet—there is always light. Always color. Always wonder.
So as we step into this weekend, let’s take a page from Beccy and Mr. Hamish. Let's slow down and play with the sense of sight.
Here is an exercise you can do over the weekend. Feel free to drop your comment below :)

You can watch the entire interview here.
Have an incredible day of love, and weekend of play!
Con Mucho Amor,
