THIS is how you get started

Hi Regal one! 

In this week’s email: 

• Tough love and some of my best advice for getting into action

I’m going to give it to you straight today, founder to founder. 

This is where people mess up: 

They wait for the “right timing” or to “feel good” to get started. 

The reality is – sometimes you just need to 

START.

That’s it. 

Get it out. 

Messy.

Imperfect. 

Why?

Because we miss out on the whole playing field when we try to be perfect. 

We don’t learn anything in the ‘perfection’ because we’ve given ourselves no room to learn. 

We learn in the messy. 

We learn when we take the leap and figure it out along the way. 

This has been my process again and again and again. 

And it’s what so many successful founders know, and do. 

It’s not always the best idea or product that wins, after all. 

That’s not the founder who ends up “on top.”

Very often, it’s the one who’s fastest to execute. 

Because that also means they’re the fastest to iterate. 

In fact, our upcoming accelerator is the perfect example of this. 

Do I have the frameworks of what I’m going to teach? 

Absolutely. 

But do I have every bit of it planned out? 

No!

And that’s a good thing! 

Why?

Because (1) this program is a living, breathing thing that is going to be shaped and molded by the people in it. 

And (2) because I would rather start it, do it, and then iterate on it… than sit on it for an entire year, spinning my wheels, trying to make it perfect. 

So my encouragement this week: 

Don’t wait until you “feel good” 

or are “ready” 

or whatever excuse you’re making (sorry, I say this with so much love. I’ve been there!!). 

My encouragement is for you to do it messy.
