Hola beautiful souls,
I think it’s fair to say that there’s something in the air, collectively, right now.
There’s a heaviness but also hope. So many people I’ve talked to in the past weeks, and even months, have remarked about feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, and like the energy is a little off.
Between numerous different occurrences, from the political atmosphere and beyond, there’s definitely a shift happening.
What I want to do in this note is not to dredge up heavy feelings, but instead share some of the flow state tools I use as an entrepreneur to keep my forward momentum.
Because The Show Must Go On! they say.

BTW – This is not me saying to not honor your energy levels, or this period of winter-ing – listening to your body is part of self-care. I am offering ways where we can serve our clients and customers, with more of a full cup while putting one foot in front of the other as we move toward Spring.

These are some ways to manage your time and productivity to stay out of overwhelm:
The “Eat The Frog” Method
‘Eating the frog’ represents tackling your most challenging or important task first thing in the morning.
When you start with your hardest task (the “frog”) you’re less likely to procrastinate, and you also set yourself up with a big Win.
You’ll feel and carry this sense of accomplishment through the rest of your day, which feels amazing. And even if other things don’t fully go to plan throughout the rest of the day, you know for certain that you’ve already accomplished the thing that mattered and moved the needle the most.
Oliver Burkeman’s 3/3/3 Method:
This looks like
3 Hours of Deep Work
3 Shorter Tasks
3 Admin Tasks
This is a framework designed to balance focus and efficiency. It breaks your day into three categories: 3 hours of deep work on your most important task or project, 3 shorter tasks that can be completed quickly, and 3 admin tasks to handle essential but less demanding work.
This approach is great because it provides a structure and helps you stay focused on priorities while still making progress on smaller, necessary tasks.
The 5-Minute Rule:
Another is the 5-Minute Rule. Productivity doesn’t always have to be about long, uninterrupted work sessions.
Sometimes, small, focused efforts can make a huge difference. Especially if you’re in a state where you’re having a tough time getting big things done because of exhaustion or just having sooo many things on your plate.
Spend just 5 minutes on a task to get started and build momentum. This makes even the most daunting tasks (or the ones you procrastinate on the most) feel more manageable.
When you break tasks into 5-minute segments, you’re more likely to start them… and finish them. Why? Because tasks like responding to emails, writing a quick social media post, reviewing a document – they’re things that actually can be done quickly, but often get delayed.
Do any of these speak to you? My aim is to deliver value weekly in the form of education, information, tools, inspiration, and more! My intuition was telling me this week to share something practical to support us all through this period.
A reminder that productivity isn’t about working harder or longer necessarily– it’s about working smarter and making small, consistent progress. Just keep taking steps forward…
You’ve got this. I see you and believe in you!
These are a couple of the things that work well for me! I encourage you to try them out and see what makes you feel focused and productive.
